Online Football Game - EuroSport

Overview

The European Football Game by EuroSport is a football (soccer) stock exchange game (i.e. stock-trading game) where member traders buy and sell virtual shares in major football teams of the continents, five most important football leagues.

Following an easy and simple registration process, the member trader is immediately awarded virtual (i.e. fake) money to begin buying shares in the football teams in the tradeable, market leagues.

The aim of the game is quite simple; to create a portfolio of virtual ownership in real football teams and to make as much profit as you can by buying and selling shares to become a leading trader. Investors of football teams are awarded dividend-type bonuses through goals scored and winning performances of their respective teams.

Eurosport's football game is one that is interesting, keenly followed and offers member traders the chance to win real prizes.

Trading Strategy

This is not to say one who does not follow European football can't participate in this game. With the simplicity of this game, anyone can get involved and stands the chance to win prizes. Under these conditions, the less-frequent follower of European football should invest in the top echelon (i.e. the top five) of any of the five markets (i.e. national football leagues) available.

Consistent and high-scoring teams are well rewarded in this game along with teams that are involved in UEFA competitions.

  • Use multiple accounts to affect share prices.
  • Try to affect share prices by manipulating forums and message boards.
  • Select usernames which are rude or offensive in any way, as they will appear on the Player's Chart.

All accounts that haven't been used for more than three weeks will be deemed as inactive and will be deleted from the database.

You have the possibility to delay account deletion by putting your trading account in 'vacation mode'. Your portfolio account will then stay active for a total of six weeks.

Updates

With the relaunch of the Eurosport European football in 2007, some improvements were made to the game-formulas during a match (i.e. in-play):
